Scriveiner London was founded by successful entrepreneurs Yanning Li and her husband Justin Lowes, who have lived in Asia, North America, and Europe. They subscribe to a lifestyle of 'luxury minimalism'. They believe in owning fewer possessions — but those possessions they do own are of the finest quality and supremely fit for purpose. This mindful practice, less wasteful and more environmentally conscious, is a founding principle that guides their strategy for growing the Scriveiner range.
The couple identified a gap in the market for a British brand of high-quality pens and accessories designed as luxury items and sold at affordable prices. In creating Scriveiner, their work together has resulted in the design and manufacturing of their ‘Classic’ pen range; an identifiably British product that has captured the imagination of discerning consumers across the globe.
Designed in the UK and launched in 2019 via online distribution channels, the
Scriveiner range became the Bestseller in its category on Amazon USA over the Christmas period in each of the following four years. Scriveiner has sold more than 500,000 pens worldwide, to hundreds of thousands of customers. As well as achieving success online, Scriveiner is now available as a Premier Fine Writing Partner in all USA Office Depot stores.
In 2023 it was announced that the company has been awarded the most prestigious business award in the UK – the King’s Award for Enterprise. This award is a direct result of the quality of our products and is a testament to the incredible success we have achieved.
